You'll take courses in media law; build research skills; practice interviewing techniques; and learn to operate the technologies used in the field today.
On-Campus Radio, TV Station, and Newspaper
We don't want you to sit still. Instead, we encourage you to explore the field of journalism, and here is your chance through our multimedia outlets:
- The Buzz is SAU's student newspaper. Join the staff and help choose content, report and edit stories, design and layout pages, take photos, and sell and design advertising.
- SAUtv is the home of the student-produced and award-winning news program, SAU Weekly. 你也可以在我们每周的体育节目中看到我们战斗蜜蜂的最新动作 Inside SAU Athletics，其中包括比赛亮点以及对教练和球员的采访. Check out the SAUtv YouTube Channel.

Internships

- Journalism students have interned with local NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX affiliates, and newspapers including the Quad-City Times and The Dispatch/Rock Island Argus.

Our graduates are successful writers, reporters, and editors with newspapers, magazines, non-profit organizations, corporate communication departments and creative agencies.
